Simon Wile Home, built in 1875, LaPorte

Located on the northwest corner of Indiana Ave. and Harrison St., this home was built in 1875 by Simon Wile (Wile was one of the original owners of the LaPorte Woolen Mills.)  It later became the home and office of Dr. H. H. Long, seen standing at left with his automobile and chauffeur Frank Engle.
The building stands today, though much altered.
