The Phoenix Theater was located at 603 Lincolnway, at the northwest intersection of Clay Street.  It opened in July, 1915, and was owned by James Kolar and M. R. Sutherland.
The structure is an earlier Italianate style building that was known as Huntsman's Hall.  The tall, narrow windows are typical of this style of architecture.
