Automobile Advertising, LaPorte

This photograph, taken in front of the LaPorte County Courthouse, shows an advertising stunt put on by a local car dealer A "Whippet" automobile is shown pulling Meinke & Sons' moving van, which apparently weighed 15,500 pounds. The Whippet was made by the Willys-Overland Company, and could be purchased at P. W. Way's, a local auto dealer. Also visible in the picture are the tracks for the electric interurban train, set into the brick street.
