This view, looking south, shows the extent of the original Rumely Tractor
Co. manufacturing facilities.  They appear in the lower right hand section of
 the picture.  These later became the Allis-Chalmers factory buildings, and today
it is the site of LaPorte Hospital.  The Lincolnway location of Kroger’s can be
seen, along with the pre-”modernized” versions of the Old City Hall building,
(now Louie’s Cafe) and First National Bank across from the courthouse.
