This elaborate wood frame dwelling was built c. 1890 in what is sometimes called the Free Classic style. Classic details, such as the Gothic style drip moldings over windows and doors, the Palladian window in the attic, and the fan vent with keystone in the carriage house, are combined in a late-Victorian eclectic manner. Note the unusual angled windows on each side of the chimney. Edward F. Michael lived here in 1890 and owned a factory that made fanning mills, predictably called the E. F. Michael Company.
