The Research Area in the La Porte County Historical Society's Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for individuals to do private researching. Contained in the archival and library collections are numerous items of historical and genealogical significance pertinent to La Porte County. The Society encourages use of the research materials by anyone interested in this area. Staff is not available to do in-depth genealogical or historical research but is available to assist both visitors and correspondents. The Society does offer a Genealogical Research Package. Also offered are several publications for sale.
